Learning. Loving. Living.

Yeah, that whole New Year's Resolution thing about writing more got totally thrown out the window! I DO want to do better though! So we'll see! :)

Life has been CRAZY but wonderful!! School is keeping me busy and I try my hardest to keep my head above water. But if you ask my mom, she'll tell you she gets more panic phone calls per week than just normal chatty ones. Oh well, such is life!

I'm not really sure where to start so this might kind of be all over the place.

Well start with Passion 2012. Holy Batman. Talk about having your world ROCKED to the core. One of the most amazing things I got to take part in there was giving to the FREEDOM cause. Y'all, 45,000 of us poor college students raise over 3 million dollars! That's something to talk about. The difference you can make is unreal and overwhelming at times but it can be done. I guess it just became real to me how big and serious slavery is TODAY. We were constantly reminded that those precious people that are enslaved aren't just a statistic.

So Passion kind of wrapped up Christmas break. Whitney, Megan and Amanda came to my house for about a day and a half. We went to Tybee and had fun. I got to spend one more week at home after that. I have to say that this past Christmas break goes down as the absolute best Christmas break in the books. I spent A LOT of time with some amazing people. The kind of people that are for real. No fakeness. What cha see is what cha get kind of people. They are such an encouragement to me. And the best part? They're stuck with me for LIFE whether they like it or not! :)

Of course I spent time with my sweet baby girls and their super awesome parents who are like siblings to me! Oh and there may or may not be a new bundle of baby goodness on the way! Can you say excited?! The girls are pumped!! Best news of the break for sure!!

Onto school starting back up! Classes have been going well! They are keeping me busy that's for sure! I had an advisor tell me she thought I should pick a different route for my major. I politely told her that this was my dream and that I would do whatever it takes to get there. I never got a reply from that! The beginning of February my friend Michael left for basic training. Life has gotten pretty lonely but manageable! I've learned how to do things on my own...like go out to eat, etc. I wouldn't do anything if I didn't do them alone!! But life is good!

Spring break is just about to wrap up!! I had counted down for this week for the past 7 weeks for it and it finally came and went way too fast! I was able to drive up to Myrtle Beach (4 hr drive) and spend 3 days with the Conley family!! It was an absolute blast! I just love them to pieces! One of my favorite parts of the trip was jumping in the ocean with our clothes on. Soooo fun! We were just laying on the beach, kind bummin' it out. The water was freezing and none of us had our swim suits on. But as we were getting close to leaving Masyn suggested we go down to the water one last time. So we did and from there it turned into wave jumping and getting soaked up to our waist!! We kept saying, who cares?! When's the next time we'll get to be at the beach together?! So true!! So we made the most of it! It was just nice to be carefree even if it was only for a little while. I am in awe of God's perfect timing and how He places people in our lives to encourage us! I have been so blessed by this sweet family this year..and its just getting started!!

Down to the last 7 weeks or so of school! Gotta make the most of it!!
